Turn Around Training Class Descriptions
Puppy Kindergarten This class is designed for puppies up to 5 months old and focuses on proper socialization allowing pups to play in a safe, supervised setting. PK teaches all of the basic cues such as sit, stay, and down along with proper manners, like no jumping or pulling on the leash.
Agility for Puppies This class is for puppies 6ms -12mns who have completed Puppy Kindergarten. Agility is a fun and competitive dog sport where dog and handler navigate an obstacle course to compete for time and accuracy. This class is designed as a fun and safe way to introduce your puppy to the sport. Warning! Puppies go home tired!
Agility for Beginners This class is for any dog over the age of 1 year who has completed a previous training class. Agility is a fun and competitive dog sport where dog and handler navigate an obstacle course to compete for time and accuracy. This fun beginners class is a great introduction to the sport.
Beginner Obedience This class is designed for dogs and puppies over 5mns old who have had little or no previous training. All basic cues are taught along with proper leash and greeting manners.
Adolescent Academics This class is for puppies 6ms -12mns
who have completed Puppy Kindergarten. In this class we will proof previously
learned cues as well as adding distractions and working on impulse control.
Real life behaviors such as jumping, counter surfing and coming when called
will be trained using real life techniques.
Advanced Obedience This class is for any dog over the age of 1 year who has completed a previous training class. In the advance obedience class we add distractions, hand commands and distance to the behaviors previously learned. This class will also prepare you and your dog to take the AKC good citizen test on the last class. For more information about the AKC CGC test go to www.akc.org
Tricks and Games Designed for dogs that
have completed Beginner Obedience or Puppy Kindergarten, great
for all ages – even seniors!
Dogs seem to have endless energy and a good sense of humor. Keep their brain and body stimulated by teaching new tricks and letting them get a taste of some games and dog sports.
Sports Sampler Are you interested in doing more with your dog but don’t know where or how to start? This class will introduce you to world of dog sports and competition. Each week we will cover the basics of a different sport, including rules and regulations, training and how to get involved. Sports to be covered include competitive obedience, agility, nose work, trieball, and more!
Out and About This class will take all of the skills learned in the class room and apply them to real life scenarios. Each week we will meet in a new public location and work on sharpening skills. This is the perfect class for dogs that may be reactive towards unknown dogs or people, chase cars or bikes or just need to work on respecting others personal space.
Nose Work Designed for dogs that have completed Beginner Obedience or Puppy Kindergarten. Dogs have an amazing sense of smell. Why not tap into their natural ability to hunt? This fun class is guiding your dog to use their natural ability to hunt and find food, objects and toys. It's a great way to build your dog’s confidence and burn energy mentally and physically.
